Proposal for revitalization of Radbun
Diner
To allow place for which every neighborhood and generation are meeting, extending pedestrian path around green area to the public space
This public space could be abstract connection as substitute for green connection (over pass), which is gone
Placement of event as mediator for meeting;
Where - On the edge
Why - Edge is a connecting/transition space
Main event - eating - diner
Edge 1 - Edge of public building
Edge 2 - Edge of Post Office - is also transfer/ mediator
Edge 3 - Entrance of cluster/Edge of cluster
ADD System of intentional connection
1. Glass facade on diner which can see through inside
Prototype of diner has communication of only cook and guest/guest themselves
As proposing open-ended space using glass, they can communicate with outdoor
pedestrian and nature
So diner is not only fragment of big building and cluster but also source
of outside
2. Sharing toilet
is used by pedestrian and people who is using diner
They could be same people.
3. Exchanging information - bulletin board
material - transparent acrylic panel
4. Exchanging materials - flea market
5. Meeting - step - typical meeting place
These secondary events/intentional connections connect three points for main event. People experience events which arising on the inner pedestrian path, on the place got rid of cars. (In terms of extended pedestrian safety)
